iGotcha Signage Now Supports Authenticator Apps for Secure Login

We’re excited to announce that iGotcha Signage now supports authenticator apps for two-factor authentication (2FA), giving users a faster, more secure way to log in to the CMS.

You can now use popular authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, and other major TOTP-based apps instead of relying on SMS or email codes.

Authenticator-based login adds an extra layer of security while also improving the login experience.

Stronger security

• Authenticator apps use time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) that refresh every few seconds.
• Unlike SMS or email codes, these are not vulnerable to SIM swapping or email compromise.

Faster logins

• No waiting for text messages or emails to arrive.
• Codes are instantly available on your phone.

Works offline

• Authenticator apps don’t require a cellular signal once set up.
• Ideal for secure or restricted network environments.

Widely supported

• Compatible with trusted apps like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, and more.

Step 1: Enable Authenticator in the CMS

1. Log in to the iGotcha Signage CMS using your normal email authentication.
2. Click the User icon in the top-right corner.
3. Go to Settings.
4. Click Enable Authenticator.
5. A QR code will appear on the screen.

Step 2: Set Up on Your Phone

1. Open a TOTP authenticator app on your phone
   (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, etc.).
2. Choose Add Account or Add Authenticator.
3. Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code displayed in the CMS.
4. The account will be added, and a 6-digit code will begin generating automatically.

Step 3: Log In Using the Authenticator Code

• When prompted during CMS login, enter the current code shown in your authenticator app.
• This code refreshes automatically every few seconds.
• You will now use this code instead of SMS or email verification codes.

By supporting authenticator apps, iGotcha Signage continues to improve platform security while keeping logins simple and reliable. We strongly recommend enabling authenticator-based 2FA for all user accounts, especially in professional and enterprise environments.
